Blacktail Park in Idaho We are fortunate enough to live in an area with a lot of places to go boating. We have fishing lakes and rivers and a great amount of places to go surfing and wakeboarding. Idaho is a great state. Sometimes though we like to find new places to go and there are some not as fortunate as us that have to travel distances to find the right body of water for their weekend activities.

This Memorial Day weekend, if you're traveling with your boat, here are some key tips for keeping your boat safe while traveling.

Boat Covers

Every boat should have a high quality boat cover. When it rains or hails, do you want all of that getting into your boat? Of course not. And surely if you're traveling, it would be a shame for a thief to be able to easily reach into the boat's compartments while you're inside of the gas station or the hotel. A boat cover with sturdy straps, snaps and safety features is an important part of keeping your boat safe while traveling. With the right boat cover your boat will stay dry and safe.

Bow Buddy

Bow Buddy trailer add-on protects trailer and boatA Bow Buddy is a fairly new boating accessory. They are perfect for keeping rocks at other debris away from your very expensive toys like boats and RVs. The Bow Buddy is a simple concept, but with a genius design. It easily attaches to your trailer and will keep your boat safe from flying rocks, gravel, and other debris. Just because you're going to be driving down a highway does not mean you won't encounter similar debris that you would going down a dirt road. The same way you want to protect the front of your trucks with bras and clear coats, you want to make sure that your boat doesn't develop numerous dings and chips from flying rocks over the years.

We can't say that we'll only travel on safe, non-rocky roads. Life will hopefully take us down all kinds of dirt roads! So to make sure your investment stays safe, why not invest in a simple solution like the Bow Buddy?

There are different sizes for different trailers and boats and we can answer all the questions you have about them. Give us a call or stop by today. We have one in our showroom set up right now for you to take a look at.

This Memorial Day weekend, if you go out of town we hope you enjoy your weekend! If you're taking your boat, consider stopping by here to have a Bow Buddy mounted before you take off so you can be sure you're keeping your boat safe while traveling.
