Dominating Suspension System
What makes the suspension system in a 2020 Wildcat XX different from other side by sides? Its creation is inspired by off-road racing and designed by racers themselves. This suspension make everyone take a "double take" when they first see it. In the front, it uses an unequal length A-arm suspension. Using an A-arm suspension setup is nothing new. This neutralizes the camber and grabs more of the ground to stabilize your ride through every turn.
But here is where it gets interesting. The rear suspension is where you stop and take a closer look. If you are involved in the world of off-road racing, you will recognize the setup right away. The 2020 Wildcat XX is using a rear trailing arm suspension. This type of suspension links to the front instead of the sides to keep your wheels moving up and down rather than just side to side.
Why is this important?
Because you are getting the classic A-arm suspension complete control at the the beginning, then when the rear suspension kicks in, you also are given the smoothest possible ride. These two suspension systems, when working together, allows you to speed across rough terrain while the cab of your Wildcat stays smooth as glass. Well... depending on how you drive. 😏
Competitive side by sides that use all A-arm suspension can experience camber degree changes while going over rough terrain because it doesn't have the same "give" as trailing arm suspension. A 2020 Wildcat XX will still closer to a 0° camber to give you more control. Many vehicles are plagued with side-to-side motion that pushes you off course, requiring constant steering corrections and robbing you of stability. Wildcat XX creates 80% less track-width change than the competition for the smoothest ride in the industry.
Premium Fox 2.5 Podium QS3 Shocks with Bottom-Out Control
Wildcat XX designers had no intention on settling, bargaining, or going without. Rather than deciding between rock-solid rigid shocks that would be better for bigger impacts and looser, more flexible shocks that would offer a smoother ride, Wildcat chose both.
You'll notice the top section of the coil is a little thinner. That coil section is for the bottom-out control.
Bottom-Out Control
When you hit a little turbulence, a secondary piston engages in the final 30 percent of shock travel, packing an additional 3,000 pounds of damping force.
Go anywhere with a 2020 Wildcat and feel only what you're supposed to feel.
The unique shocks set up isn't the only thing made to be extra durable on the XX. All of the components of this side by side were tested to the highest standard for ultimate precision and strength.
